THE BOOK OF ROMANS

In the book of Acts, we meet a bad guy turned good named Paul. Paul arrives on the scene as one of the greatest Christian missionaries after the resurrection of Christ. He is an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin, born a Roman citizen.

Jesus came to give Paul a message to share with the nations, that because of his death on the cross, all were able to be made right with God and presented with the gift of salvation. Gentiles (non-Jews) and Jews are all welcome into the kingdom of God.

As if the message of Christ wasn’t offensive enough to the world, now Paul had upset the Jewish Christians by proclaiming that they were no greater than other nations—that God loved everyone and wanted them to share in his glory.

Paul and the other apostles suffer great hardship from believers and non-believers alike. But the good news they share can’t be stopped by persecution, prison, shipwrecks, flogging and even death. Paul won’t let anyone or anything stop him from spreading the good news of Jesus’ free gift of salvation.
