A behind-the-scenes look at why I created the SIMPLE Guide to the Old Testament—my new visual Bible study book with timelines, notes, and resources.

A Visual Bible Study Resource Years in the Making
When I first started studying the Bible, I felt overwhelmed by the Old Testament. I didn’t know where to begin or how all the stories connected. So I started making simple notes—just for myself—using a notetaking system I created called The SIMPLE Method™.
Over time, those personal notes became something I shared online. What started with a few downloads turned into thousands of women using my printable pages—at home, in classrooms, and in church groups around the world.
Many of you told me these pages helped you understand the Old Testament for the first time. Honestly, that’s what keeps me going.
But here’s something I haven’t shared as much:
I’ve been dealing with copycat versions of my work for years. These are products that look just like mine, being sold under different names.
You may have even seen them around. This morning, I found another one.
And with the rise of AI and digital piracy, it’s becoming nearly impossible to get these knockoffs taken down—especially when my products are PDFs.
So that’s a big part of why I created this new physical book.

Turning Printables Into Something Permanent
The SIMPLE Guide to the Old Testament is a printed, softbound version of my bestselling Bible notes. It’s been revised and extended—and it’s formatted to be something you’ll reach for again and again.
Inside you’ll find:
- Visual summaries of all 39 books from Genesis to Malachi
- A full index of names to help you track people and places
- Bonus resources like genealogies, timelines, genre charts, and more
- A detailed guide on how to use The SIMPLE Method™ for Bible study
Every page has been carefully updated—and I’ve even brought my sister on board as my editor. She’s a leader in her church and brings both biblical insight and a fresh set of eyes to each page. The illustrations and layouts are still all hand-drawn by me, just like always.
This isn’t another Bible study. It’s a companion to whatever you’re already studying in the Old Testament!

It’s Part of a Bigger Set
This book pairs perfectly with my earlier release, Women of the Old Testament, which highlights nearly 200 women—named and unnamed—throughout the Old Testament, using the same visual format.
And coming soon: The 2026 SIMPLE Bible Study + Planner!
This spiral-bound planner is a full-year chronological reading plan through the Old Testament—and we’ll work through it together. It replaces the MPC in 2026 with a fresh new format that still includes the pages you love and weekly YouTube lessons, so you won’t miss a thing.
I’m so excited to launch this new study format with you!
Together, these three resources give you a clear overview of the Old Testament storyline, a deeper understanding of the women within it, and a structured way to stay consistent in your Bible study all year long.
And in 2027, we’ll do it again—this time with the New Testament! All three NT resources (the guide, the women’s book, and the planner) are already in the works and launching next year in preparation.

Digital or Printed: What’s Best for You?
If you’re looking to print and share, the digital version is perfect for small groups, teachers, and homeschoolers. It includes the Genesis–Malachi pages with all the latest updates and is available with group license options for easy and ethical sharing.
Old Testament: SIMPLE Bible Notes (Digital Bundle)
If you prefer a ready-to-go personal study tool, the printed book is ideal for quiet time, gifting, or keeping a beautiful reference right on your shelf—no tech or printer required.
Whichever format you choose, please remember: if you plan to share printed pages or PDFs in a group setting, be sure to purchase the correct group license. It allows me to continue creating and protecting this work for everyone who wants to study the Bible with more clarity and confidence.

Want to Support the Original?
You might’ve bought from a knockoff company without realizing it. Or maybe you’ve seen my pages sold elsewhere and wondered what was going on. You’re not alone—I hear from women all the time who’ve been misled by resellers or copycats.
This isn’t about shame. I just want to invite you to help me protect this work. Shop directly from my site, or choose the printed book instead of unauthorized PDFs.
Every purchase directly supports my business and my mission to help women grow in their understanding of Scripture. You’re not just buying a book—you’re investing in hand-drawn, prayerfully created tools that make the Bible feel doable.
I’m so grateful to have you here.
Let’s study the Bible simply—together.
