TAKING TIME FOR THANKSGIVING FUN

Thanksgiving is often overlooked as it squeezes in between candy-filled Halloween and the presents of Christmastime.

A few years ago I became more intentional in the way I approached November, pointing out to my children that it’s a month of practicing gratitude, a skill which can benefit you for a lifetime.

Here are some of my favorite ways to get the kids involved in acknowledging and celebrating the spirit of Thanksgiving all month long.

PICTURE BOOKS ABOUT THANKSGIVING

One of my favorite things about the holidays are talking about them with my kids to build excitement. These picture books about Thanksgiving are a great way to get the conversation started.

THANKSGIVING ACTIVITIES

Start a new tradition with your family this November as you practice gratitude together! Write what you’re thankful for on your thankful tree, watch Charlie Brown as you decorate Scratch Art Leaves, and plan a Friendsgiving using the Bingo cards and tablecloth activities.
