Set out hot cocoa packets by the coffee, Christmas books in baskets around the house and have soft Christmas music playing in the background with a Christmas movie on mute for holiday parties!

LIVING ROOM TIPS

Add a Santa hat to something, and match your wrapping paper to the colors in the room. If your lights need to be replaced, but your tree looks fine, cut the cost in half by replacing the lights! This year I decided to go with red and white strands.
Highlight the room with bold reds. Keep a collection of blankets and change them out according to your color scheme.
Use items you already own and add a Christmas accent such as a tiny wreath or winter branches.
Change our your photos using past visits with Santa!
